This one is for Kara; Burlap Framed Paper Hearts
So you know my Subway Art Post from yesterday with this picture right…
Do you see the little burlap board with hearts making a heart on the right?
Well, I made that a couple of nights ago and wasn’t sure if I was going to post a tutorial on it until I got a comment from the awesome Kara from Mine for the Making, so for her and everyone else, here is my third Valentine Craft for this week….
Burlap Framed Paper Hearts
What you need:
- Paper in red and pink- or whatever color you want
- Cutting machine, scissors or paper punch to make hearts
- Hot glue
First I cut the burlap to fit the frame with some excess to work with:
Then hot glue it on the front- this was a room decor thing from the dollar tree that had the hole in the back to hang, Wade being the awesome hubby he is, sanded the image off the front for me.
Glue the sides down and after you do the short sides, cut the burlap so it will lay flat:
When all four sides are glued it looks like this:
Then trim off all of the excess:
Next, I glued some red ribbon around the edge as a decorative aspect and to ensure the sides stay put:
Next I cut out my hearts:
Played with the design until I found something I liked:
And then hot glued the flowers in place, I added a dot of glue on the back of the heart and the burlap so it gave it a little raised affect:
And that’s it!
Hope you all liked it!
