Sticky & Spooky Halloween Popcorn
We are embarking on the best time of year! I love when October hits because it is like the start of the holiday season and my favorite months of the year! First up, Halloween! This is such a fun holiday and I am super excited to get to participate in so many cool things this year, like this awesome Halloween Popcorn Box Blog Party! There are a bunch of fabulous bloggers and we all received a fun little kit of things, the main item of which was a popcorn box from World Market. I had to go traditional and make a fun Halloween popcorn recipe and check it out- isn’t it as fun as it is spooky? Make sure you make it to the end to check out the awesome giveaway!
First, gather your ingredients. I had a smaller (the pop up bowl style) of popcorn so I went with half a bag of marshmallows and half a stick of butter, but if you have a traditional sized bag, I would do the whole bag of marshmallows and whole stick of butter.
I popped my popcorn (which works out well for me right now because I am without a kitchen due to remodel).
Then I stuck the bowl with the marshmallows and butter in the microwave for about a minute- stirred it and then put it back in for a couple more seconds until the butter was melted and it was all smooth.
Then I added the popcorn, stirred it up and poured it onto wax paper in a pan, cookie sheet would have been better but all the kitchen stuff is all packed away for the most part.
While everything is still sticky, I added fun Halloween sprinkles (love the little spiders!), some small marshmallows and mini chocolate chips, basically whatever I had on hand!
After it cooled I filled my popcorn box up with all this deliciousness and we were ready for a movie!
Thank you to all the amazing sponsors who sent us supplies including World Market, Lollipics, Laura Kelly Designs, Kunin Group, Scotch Brand, Adorn It, Udderly Smooth, and I Love to Create!
