Rustic Green Fall Tablescape
The High Holidays for Judaism are late this year, but they most certainly have started and today I thought I would share the table I put together for our Rosh Hashana dinner. I am thrilled with the way this came out and love the green on brown and white with the splash of red, it would be great for any fall get together and could easily be recreated on a much smaller scale.
It all started with a lack of table cloth, I could find anything I liked so when push came to shove, I Amazon Prime Now-ed a roll of craft paper to my house and used that- I totally love it. I balanced that with some doilies and used all my standard white dishes that I use at each holiday. There is a reason they are white, so they match everything!
Down the table were green hydrangeas in these lovely cylinder vases that I grabbed on sale at Vons for next to nothing. Between those, I went with the green theme and put out some kale that I then topped with various apples my guests had brought. On Rosh Hashanah we eat apples dipped in honey and I thought that this would be a fun way to display them.
All that was left was to add cake plates with round challah, mason jars full of honey, napkins, utensils, glasses and fun paper straws because people have come to expect them from me. All in all, I love the way it came out and it is a color combo I have never tried before but this won’t be the last time, that is for sure!
