Rustic Cupcake Stand
I made it through another week at So You Think You’re Crafty!!
This competition is something else! It is way more stressful and challenging than I thought it was going to be!
But I made it through and last week for birthday week I made a rustic cupcake stand out of some discs cut from Christmas tress and some scrap wood.
I gathered all the pieces that were the right side and them to give them all the same look, I did a stain with watered down paint. I watered it down about 2 parts water to 1 part paint. I brushed it on and then wiped it off. It gave me the look of dark wood even though I don’t generally have stain around the house.
I glued everything together and the great part about this project is that you can make as many separate pieces as you need for your party! I think a whole lot of these at a woodland creatures or owl party would be really sweet! I grabbed some shots for this post with some yummy cranberry and chocolate muffins. Yum!
This week is fall crafts- make sure you stop by and vote for your THREE favorite! Click on the picture to take you to the post!
