Ruffle Flower Hair Clip Tutorial
I have a reputation. It isn’t a bad one, thank goodness. But I have a reputation for always putting something in my daughter’s hair.
Not abnormal. But to keep up with this, she has to have a lot of options. Also, she is three and misplaces them quite often.
So, it is rather common that when I come up with a new flower clip idea, I make a bunch of them… because they won’t go to waste.
This is my latest hair clip crush, I can’t get enough of these!
Then I just cut some inch and a half or so wide felt circles and fired up the hot glue gun. I started at the edge and added some hot glue and then a bit of the ruffle. I worked at about an inch at a time so the glue didn’t dry before I got to it.
I kept going around in a spiral from the outside in until I got to the center. Then I added these shell beads I found in a mason jar in the craft room (just trying to keep it real) and put them in the center. They were the perfect match for all of the clips.
They were so quick and easy to make, before I knew it, I had made 8! I made 2 of each color and then I made an extra two of the red with white polka dot and added some Mickey Mouse buttons to the middle, because, well, why not?
Disclosure: I received some materials used in this craft in return for a post but all opinions and ideas are my own.
