Quick and Easy Kid’s Room Additions

After we got back from Avery’s birthday Disney trip, it was like post holiday let down. I was done planning this huge party and trip and I was like “now what?” I needed a project. So I thought, why not add a few new things to Avery’s room to make it a ‘big girl’ room!

We had gotten her Minnie Mouse bedding a couple of months before that was pink, black and white and her walls are light pink so I just went with it. I know it would seem that it should all be yellow but I was looking for a quick revamp. I made her simple Minnie and Mickey silhouettes in dollar store frames. I also spray painted some other frames black, added some glitter white/pink circle punched polka dots, then some dimensional magic and glued them on.

Of course they need to have Disney pictures in them!

I made some simple hoops with coordinating fabric for the wall that I will add some ribbon and clips to to hold more pictures or art.

Below are cookie sheet magnet board with fabric flower magnets for her to put all her drawings. There are a lot of those lately!

I am really happy with the way it came out and it helped get me out of my creative funk!
