We have had so much fun putting together our princess costume dress up area! Avery’s room has a overall Disney vibe to it anyways so it only made sense to have a Disney Princess themed dress up area! She loves the finished product, but also enjoyed the process along the way- let’s check it out!

Seriously, I had fun putting together the whole dress up area starting with the mirror project I shared last week, but the really part that finishes off the space are all the great dresses I was able to pick up for a great price at the Princess Event last weekend at Walmart. I would never be able to buy her so many but they were so affordable I could get her 5 dresses! Here is video of our rare and awesome shopping spree (she has never been on one like this and probably won’t see one again until her birthday) at the Princess Event.

The first dress we had to have was Sleeping Beauty- which may have been inspired by our trip to the electronics section to pick up the Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition that just came out of the vault. We are on a mission to own them all!

But back to the dress up area, in addition to the mirror and dress up clothes, I also added some fun pretend makeup. These were simply made with some old eye shadow and blush cases (I bought blushing thinking I knew what I was doing but that was false) that I filled with nail polish and let dry. Avery loves that she has her own pretend makeup and I am happy that I made it from thing things I had around the house! This was a super fun addition!

Also, I had to add a fun Disney inspired quote to the top of the area in the empty space and nothing is more appropriate than “Mirror, mirror, on the wall..” It is the perfect finishing touch!

I think that we have come a long way from the ‘before’ picture!
