I am so excited- like going to Disneyland excited! But we aren’t going to Disneyland, or, at least that is not what this post is about. Whenever I am about to work on a project in the house I am always excited and this is one of those times! Plus this project is for Avery’s room and includes Disney Princesses which makes it even better! I am putting together a princess costume dress up area in Avery’s room! This is a 3 part process and each part is going to be fabulous- in this post I will talk about the first two parts and I will post the last part next week. Let’s get started!

Ok, first things first, this is the before of the area, it has hooks which is a start, but that is for sure it! Not good enough and not very royal either!

The easel had to go, it doesn’t fit the little space, what would fit the space is a fun little mirror. I went through the garage and found this (yes, random stuff like this does exist in my garage).

It is totally cute and could have easily been hung on the wall but something about it didn’t click with me- I feel like it looks faded. So I gave it a new coat of paint, well, 4 coats of paint, and some Mod Podge polka dots, and some glitter. That is better.

I think she likes it, don’t you? But there is something else missing- dress up clothes!!

You can’t have a dress up area without something to dress up in! That is where this awesome event (otherwise known as part 2) that I am going to attend with Avery’ this coming Saturday comes in- the Princess event being held at select Walmarts this Saturday, October 11th from 10am-4pm. Avery is going to get to dress up and go have some cupcakes, color, take selfies with a cardboard Aurora, grab the Diamond Edition of Sleeping Beauty on DVD/Blue Ray, and some new princess costumes for her dress up area.

princess costumeShe might think it is her birthday, she is going to be so excited! I will be excited because in addition to all of the fun, the participating stores will also have special coupons for $3 off $10 in American Greetings party supplies- they are already adorable and fabulously priced!

Doesn’t that sound like fun? Will I see you there? If not, make sure you follow along with the fun with the #DisneyBeauties hashtag!
