Popcorn Tree Place Settings

I love putting together a table setting, so much so that I never want to do the same one twice because it is such a fun challenge! I also think it is fun when doing place settings, to include a treat on the plate and today’s takes the cake, er, well popcorn that is! Check it out!

I love these little popcorn tree place settings and they are so easy to put together! They take no time and because I used the yummy Pop Works & Company popcorn, I don’t even  have to worry about dessert either! These tasty little treats are way better than any popcorn I could throw together! Plus because you can order it online, you can start planning your parties from your couch in your pjs- the best way to put a party together!

To get started, I grabbed some transparency, these remind me of elementary school because these and the overhead projector were how we learned, and no I craft with them! To make the cone you just fold it together and grab yourself a piece of clear tape.

I just add the tape to the top of the cone and it holds it securely.

Then I take a pair of scissors and starting at the shortest point, cut a flat base all around the bottom of the cone. I find that if you just keep cutting it strait, it works itself out quite nicely.

Then I filled it up with popcorn! YUM! I got to try the Pop Works & Company Birthday Cake, Salted Caramel & Fudge and Cookies n’ Cream flavors and I  just don’t know which one I like the most!

I traced circles just a bit bigger than the base of my cone on card stock and cut them out.

Then I put some hot glue around the edge of the cone and placed the card stock piece on top. Next, I turned it right side up and added more glue around the base. Once it was dry I trimmed off the excess. It is easier to see this step in this quick video tutorial I created for this project as well.

Then you just add them to your table scape! I love a red and gold tablescape during the holidays and these fit perfectly with red chargers and gold cardstock circles right under them on top  of the plates!

How do you add fun touches to your table settings during the holidays? Let me know in the comment below!
