Mother’s Day Brunch 2016
How was your mother’s day?! Mine was amazing, I got to get my build on but that is a topic for a later post! Also, that didn’t happen until after we had brunch with Wade’s family (my mom was working- boo!) and I thought I would share the pictures of our table and what we enjoyed!
I went simple with this one because Wade didn’t think I should have even put it together, but that is my thing! I went around the house and grabbed what I could find which started with a table cloth from our wedding! This shiny coral piece of fabric was on the buffet at our wedding and was so pretty! Down the center I went with the food as a centerpiece idea and accented with stemless wine glasses filled with the flowers my dad and Avery got me!
I reused gold chargers and added white doilies on top, under the plates and bowls. I couldn’t fit any fruit on the table so I thought I would just pre-serve everyone! For juice, I added mason jars and paper straws at each place setting.
I liked how the cloth napkin was off to the side, I haven’t tried this before and I think it came out pretty visually interesting!
Food wise there was a little something for everyone! We had a skillet mushroom fritata which went over amazingly!
There were also two french toast casseroles, one traditional one made with crusty french bread and then a nutella one made with a nutella challah I had made for Friday, I put half of each on the platter.
Then there were also all the fixin’s for parfaits and, because some in attendance wouldn’t have had it any other way, bacon. I always put it upright in cups down the table, some argued that the bacon bouquets were prettier than the flowers… that’s up for discussion.
All in all it was a great brunch and an even better day! How was your Mother’s Day? Let me know in the comments below!
