Homemade Bath Salts
I worked on a Hello Kitty Spa Party this weekend and I can’t wait to share it with you!
But first I wanted to share the quick and easy project I made with the kids that attended. Since it was a spa theme, of course we had to make some bath salts!
First I gathered the ingredients. I used small mason jars, Epsom salt, food coloring and peppermint extract. It was cheaper than essential oils and there is no worries if for some reason they ate it- well, other than that it would taste horrible. They were all older children but the preschool teacher is always thinking about kids putting things in their mouths.
I had the salt in the jars ready for the kids with a spoon to stir.
They got to choose their colors and I added 3 drops. They stirred for a while.
Then I added the peppermint extract and some found it easier to add the lid and start shaking them. I had them move to the grass so that if the jar fell out of their hands, there would be less of a chance that the glass would shatter.
Then, they were done! It was quick and easy and a bunch of fun! Extra points if it makes bath time a little more exciting!

What a fun party idea, wish I would have thought of it when my daughter was younger, at 21 parties are a little bit different. I love the idea of adding some food coloring.
