Happy Valentines Day!
I hope that you have too!!
My gosh, there was so much work that went into the last 24 hours but it was such fun and they will be great memories and some of our favorite traditions.
Of course we have to start with decorating the house! You know how I roll, I will make the decorations for weeks and weeks, up until the day before the holiday even! Then take it all down and store it for next year. I don’t think I shared any of these pictures from crafts around the living room.
Last night, I dipped 100 cookies in chocolate and sprinkles. There were 50 for Wade’s work and 50 for Scott to take to his day program. Avery’s school doesn’t do Valentines day, they did a pajama day so we weren’t able to send her with any goodies (I can’t wait until I can!). But I also made a marshmallow bouquet, because, well it was a good excuse too!
Then, after they went to bed, we did our tradition that we have done every year for 3 years now, the Heart Attack!!! Love this, it is so fun. I made 14 hearts for both Avery and Scott’s door with things we love about them. Then when I got home today, I did some for our door with things I love about Wade. Easy and so fun to wake up to in the morning!
The next morning we had heart shaped pancakes and then I took the kids to Home Depot with me before school and day program. They did so good that I got them Valentines donut holes as a special treat. The only thing is I had to buy a bag of 14! It was only $2 but they ate a few and then I spent the day pawning them off on everyone else so that I wouldn’t eat them! It worked, I didn’t even have one! Go me!
Then we got to do some Valentine stuff!! Avery got her very first Valentine!! My sweet friend was making cookies and thought to make Avery some yellow Mickey cookies and dropped them off in our mail box! SO SWEET!!!!!! I also left my Valentine sign in the bathroom for Wade and Avery made Daddy a card! Today was so great!!!
What did you do today!!
