It is here!!It is almost like Thanksgiving was sneaky this year and just appeared, I don’t know if it is because it is so early or what but it is here!At the last minute, we switched the venue for dinner to our house, I was still only responsible for the table and a couple sides this year and let me tell you, it is so much less stress!
So little stress that I am able to write a blog post 2 and a half hours before dinner starts!.
I am sure the evening will get pretty busy so I thought I would post some pictures of the table now because I love how it is turning out!! It is about 85% done in these pictures and I can’t wait to see the finished product!!
I got the branches from that “take our interior design samples so we don’t have to throw them in the landfill” event and they started out green. I had a bunch of cans of spray paint that were almost gone that went into painting these. 6 cans at least so it is for sure and ombre effect. They are sitting on a scrap piece of canvas that was cut thin and went down the whole table. I found some left over tile from the kitchen in my garage that end up being my charger (we wiped them down of course) and then I used my same plates, bowls and silverware I always do because I got them neutral so that I could. For glasses I used my pint mason jars and then I found some fabric and cut it up as napkins. I love the natural/rustic kind of feel to the whole thing. Then I added the cranberry napkin rings I showed you how to make HERE and then some quart sized mason jars with water, cranberries and floating candles. I also, I started placing the painted and glittered pine cones I showed you HERE.
Then I took the rest of my cranberries and sprinkled them throughout the branches on the table. I am so happy with this table and it would really work for any gathering from fall through winter and all the holidays in between. Of course I had to add some bakers twine around the drinking mason jars, naturally ;).
