Guy Themed Invitations
I always find it challenging to make invitations for events that are for primarily guys like these Me and My Special Guy invites because all the frills I usually like so much are not appropriate, plus, I guess it just does not come up that often. On the other hand, invites like mothers day or a bridal shower are always so easy to come up with because you can use so much more to make them, especially flowers which I quite enjoy. But anyways, these are rather simple invites that I made for my school, which they weren’t expecting because I was pulled out of work by my midwife but I made them anyways because it ensured that I did an activity that involved sitting for a few hours which hubby wants me to do more of as I get closer to my due date.I can’t help it that I am nesting and want the whole house clean before baby comes so that it has a long way down before it is destroyed and I have the energy to put it back together again lol! Plus my baby shower is on Sunday and I want to make sure my home looks nice when all those people come over.
These invites were made with 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch piece of green cardstock with the text printed on a cream colored piece (there were 3 columns of text on each sheet in landscape orientation and two in each row so I got 6 out of each page). Then there is a 1 x 4 1/4 inch piece of decorative green, coordinating cardstock with a piece of ribbon attached on top. I was able to make 80 of these in a few hours and find that doing all of one step at a time works much faster then completely finishing one invite at a time. So I cut everything out then attach the text to all of them, then the decorative paper and last the ribbon which is always cut longer and I trim down at the end.
How are your blankets for hospice going? My 10 are done and I just have to box them up and mail them off!
