Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece
I love a quick, easy and affordable centerpiece idea and this one fits all those points! I put this together in under an hour today and I love the way it came out! Plus, I can take both of the seperate pieces and put them together on my everyday table and switch out the flowers to work throughout the seasons! I was able to make this one entirely with things I had on hand so it didn’t cost me a penny! Check out this fun 2×4 centerpiece idea!
It was beyond easy, I just grabbed a 2×4 from the garage and cut two equal lengths from what I had which came out to about 2 feet. Then I drilled 2 holes, about 2 inches apart, down the length of the 2×4 with the smallest drill bit I could find because it only needed to fit a small piece of floral wire. The last prep step was to spray paint it white (or any color, this was actually a suggestion of my niece that ended up really finishing it off!) and then all you have to do is make the flowers!
For the flowers, I went with a standard paper flower that I love to make because it is quick and easy. You could make these by simply cutting out a circle and then cutting a spiral and rolling in towards the middle from the outside piece and gluing. But these I used my Cricut Explore to make and it is an image from the Flower Shoppe cartridge, it looks like a scalloped spiral. All I had to do was add a piece of floral wire to the bottom and stick one in each hole- easy!
I love having a quick and easy idea on hand in my back pocket for the numerous times I need to come up with a centerpiece on a zero budget. What is your go to centerpiece idea? Did you have a good Thanksgiving? Let me know in the comments below!
