Easy Gallery Wall Canvas
The paper I used in this post I received from the brand, but I was not compensated for this post and all opinions and ideas are my own.
Do you ever have those moments when you want to make something but you just don’t know what?? I do, a lot! I always want to be creating something but sometimes I just don’t have something pressing or maybe I have an idea, but it would take too long and I want to just make something quick. That is what happened today. I was walking down the hallway and when I passed the gallery wall, I noticed a nail missing a picture. Now, I couldn’t tell you what was there let alone what happened to it, but I can tell you that the nail had been bothering me for a while!
Tonight was the perfect time to fix it! I had a task! But, what would I use? That is when I went into my craft room and my eyes fell on this turquoise canvas, already painted and ready to go sitting next to my sewing machine. About 10 min later- it looked like this!
This project really couldn’t be any easier, and it take no time at all, even if you start with a blank canvas and paint it yourself. I don’t know why I had a pre-painted canvas, but it really came in handy! All I had to do was pick out a couple of amazing and coordinating DCWV papers, go off to my Cricut and cut “L V E” and a heart and come back to the craft table.
I could have Mod Podged or hot glued, but I wanted something even quicker than that so I went with my trusty Xyron machine. I am telling you people, if you don’t have one of these- you need to get one! I have two sizes and I still want the biggest one! This thing is great because you just run your letters and heart through and they become completely adhesive backed stickers! Fabulous!
Then, all that is left is sticking them on the canvas! It really doesn’t get any easier than that, or faster. I love how it fits with the gallery wall, but it also looks pretty good in the craft room too!
