DIY Disney Dress
We are going to Disney again!!
It is only because of passes that we are able to go to Disneyland as often as we do, but I am going to enjoy it while it lasts! Our passes have been blacked out all summer and they just opened back up this week and we are so excite! Every Disney trip needs a special craft and this one is no different!
How about a dress this time?
It came to me when I had bought an extra t-shirt at the craft store to make Scott a shirt and it just never happened (or Wade told me it wasn’t as cute of an idea as I thought, it happens) and I thought it would be perfect to make Avery a Mickey dress!
Plus is was super simple! I just grabbed another dress that fit her well and used it as a pattern, then cut it about a half inch larger on all sides.
I sewed together the sides and straps and the great part about t-shirt material is that is all I had to sew! It doesn’t fray and that makes these projects quick and easy! Then it came to the stencil, I made it with my Cricut and Craft Room. I like Craft Room because you can organize everything where you want it and then cut, it allows for the creativity needed to create the pattern I was looking for, for this project. I sponge painted on some black fabric paint and was done!
I am so excited to pair this with some leggings and Mickey Mouse polka dot bows for our trip- it is going to be so cute!!
