Crafting That is Good For Your Health!

I have been working on this for a while but it was one of those projects that always got put on the back burner, maybe because it involved exercise and I am swamped as it is? I know excuses excuses.. on to my idea:

Here is what you need:

  • Circle punch
  • Pen
  • Scrapbook paper in three patterns
  • Lamination machine or contact paper
  • Jar you can decorate to your taste

First I punched out some circles from each paper and put different healthy changes on each. For one pattern I put various cardio exercises like walking the lake, walking in the neighborhood, go for a jog, do a work out video and so on. On another was strength training ideas such as an ab combination, an arm combination, legs and so on. On the last one concerned diet and had such things as no eating past 7 pm, no fast food for one week from today, try a new veggie, make a new recipe. Then I ran them all through the laminator and cut them out.

Then I put them in a jar that I decorated with paper, ribbon and a huge flower on top to catch my attention.

Then each morning I pick out two circles (from two different patterns) for me to do in the day. I choose based on the time and what I have going on in the day. Today I picked strength and diet because I didn’t have the extra time to go anywhere for cardio. Tomorrow I will pick cardio and diet because I will have the time and be going grocery shopping. It can change each day and when I go through all of them I can throw them back in the jar and start again. Also, as I find new ideas I can add those as well.

Lastly I post them in the kitchen where I can see them and not forget to take care of business when I go through my day!

Wish me luck!

What are your favorite exercises?

Seriously awesome idea! I showed this to my husband tonight and we’re going to try it out.

My favorite exercise is doing abs on my exercise ball :)
