Candy Corn Crazy
Candy corn is (are?) the new black…
Ok, maybe not, but you get what I am saying.
They have been everywhere and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon, but in a way I haven’t seen already.
My favorite one is the smallest one, it is rosette inspired- do you get it? The taller two are made with scrapbook paper.

So, I knew that I wanted to make something candy corn related but I didn’t know with what so I just started looking around for materials that were orange, yellow and white. I found the usual suspects, fabric and paper.
I was wondering how I could do something else with the fabric and then I was thinking rosettes, that sounded like a ton of work and not really something I could complete in a nap time, but I thought the the same technique might still work- here is how that went.
First I cut up the fabric into strips, really it doesn’t matter how wide, the thicker it is the thicker the “rope” the thinner the cut, the thinner the “rope”.
I started with the white and knotted it at one end to start, in the end it might not have been necessary but it made it a little easier to get started.
Then, I just hot glued and twisted as I went all the way around. Where one strip ends, I just hot glued another one.
I broke it up into thirds and just started the next color when I thought it looked right.
On the top, I made a rosette with an extra piece of fabric.
Isn’t it cute?!?!
Here is a night shot because I am too impatient to wait to the morning to get a good shot before I posted.
I still have 2 more styrofoam cones, I wonder what I will make next?
