No Bake Cookie Dough Balls {Jar Gift Idea!}

Whenever I need to make a lot of gifts for a group of people, I just LOVE gifts in a jar. They are always a hit and people always rave about them. I have had many friends that tell me they come in handy when last minute guests come over, they want a sweet treat or other time when little prep was available and they were able to just grab the jar from the pantry and whip something up! In the interest of saving money and energy during this time of year, I have a NO bake and NO energy used recipe, that means it is perfect for the kids!

Also great about this gift idea is that you only need 3 ingredients for the jar so it is pretty affordable as well! For each jar you need 2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar and half of a package of mini chocolate chips.

Then it is as simple as first putting in the flour, you need a large mason jar, wide mouth is easiest, but I also found these fun jars that worked great as well! I think you can pick them up at most places, maybe even the dollar store!

Then the chocolate chips and the reason this order is a bit different is because this isn’t a total dump and mix recipe.  The brown sugar will be last so that it is easy for the recipient to kind of scoop most of it out to cream with a spatula with some butter for the first step.

Then, last is the brown sugar and you want to make sure to pack it in pretty well so that the layers don’t shift in transport.

Then all you need to do is add the printable! These are so great because there are no mixers, stoves, ovens or any other energy using item involved so these not only help save energy and you money, but they are totally safe for children to help with as well! I will have the printable available below this picture, I run it through my Xyron so that I can stick it on the side of the jar (use reposition-able adhesive so that it can come off the jar easily for you recipient) but you can also cut it out and hang it with some ribbon as a tag.
