The Skirt Continued!

I wrote about this skirt that Avery is where earlier this week in THIS post but I hadn't made the shirt to go with it at that point. I was so excited the skirt came out so cute that I took a bunch of pictures, and then I figured I could use the extra fabric to embellish a brown tank top she had in the closet.

I cut out a letter "A" and used iron on fusible webbing and then sewed around the edge. For the sleeves I sewed two small ruffles, pinned them on and then sewed the edges. I couldn't be happier with the way the outfit came out!!!

About my little model... I recently discovered this wall in the house that has good lighting and is a blank background, usually there is a small table in front of it, but we move it for "mini photoshoots". Ok, Avery was kinda in a mood before I took these pictures but the outfit was so cute I had to at least try, so I moved the table and Avery RAN over to the wall and you can see, it is almost like she is posing now LOL! Then when I stopped taking pictures, she cried. Really, she went from fussy to "smile for  the camera" to crying... what have I gotten myself into!

I am linking up here!

Haha, that's so cute! They make cute little digital cameras for little kids...they are only like $20 and are fairly indestructible (I've seen them at target before). You should get her one so that when you're done with photo shoots she can try being the photographer!!
