Today we get to learn more about Ashley from Creative Coqueta!

1.       In a couple of sentences, tell us about yourself.

Hi, I'm Ashley-- I get bored really easy, so I take funny pictures of myself for entertainment.  I also started a crafty type blog so I can keep myself "creative"

2.       How did you get into blogging?

Actually, my super wonderful and beautiful friend Kiara had a blog and I thought it was a cool idea.  It's kinda like a live journal.  (You just have to remember it's just not you reading it-- it can be ANYONE!)

3.       What is your blog about in a nutshell?

Things I create or things I want to make in the future-- mostly stuff I sew.  Like these handy dandy key fobs:

4.       What are your favorite materials/ ingredients/ tools to work with?

Fabric and Paper... I like to try to reuse stuff too, like tins and clothes.  My mom recently gave me her old Singer sewing machine, its fun learning how to do different stitches on it.  Thanks Mom!

5.       Where do you find your inspiration?

It would have to be my favorite woman in the world, my mom.  She has made ALL but a few of my Halloween costumes and dresses =)  Also, when I was little and my grandmother's watched me, they would always be making something.  Whether it was my Abuelita sewing something to wear or my Nannie knitting something.  I thought it was cool that they could make stuff out of scraps of other materials.  I wanted to learn how to do what they did, so they taught me.

6.       What are a couple of your favorite blogs?

Dixie DIY:  

This lady is very creative!!  =)  She makes so many things, from decorations to clothes.  Super cool!

Lee Lee's Sweets:

This is my cousin LeAnna's blog.  She is a baker and makes really cute cupcakes and cakes.  She's from California like me.  She lives in Oregon now and has fun baking cakes for her new friends and family. 

7.       What are a couple of your favorite projects?

My favorite projects would have to be making my key fobs, as well as creating gifts for people.  I made this little guy above for one of my nephews, it was fun bringing something to life with facial expressions.  I also recently acquired a cuttlebug machine, so I think I'm going to have lots of fun making paper crafts in the future =).
