Easy Vase Ghosts

Remember the simple plastic vases from THIS post that held the floating apple candles? Well, I was staring at them today wondering what else I could do with them and then it hit me! They kinda looked like ghosts when you turn them upside down....

So that is what they became!

What do you think?

They are super easy and such a fun Halloween decor element! Click "Read More" to see how I made them!

So first, here are the vases I used, upside down, before I painted them, kinda ghost-ish right?!

Then I just grabbed some white acrylic paint and a sponge brush":

Poured some paint inside:

Then used the brush to coat the entire inside of the plastic vase, I did a slight second coat but you really can't see the streaks on the outside.

I let them dry upside down on a paper but check them every so often to brush out the drip marks from the excess paint.

Last, all I had to do was add some big googly eyes with the trusty hot glue gun!

These candles sticks are the best thing ever because I just switch out what sits on top of them for the season I am in! ( I made them by buying three identical candlesticks and then hot gluing two of them together.)

I added the candy corns to the other side as well! Tutorial HERE!
