"Because you like that trash to treasure stuff"

This is what the secretary at my preschool said to me when she handed me a frame, the cardboard back and glass that had broken off in some incident (in my house usually they are kid or animal related).

It would appear that I have a reputation.

She brought it in and told me how it broke, but she thought I would like it because I am into that "trash to treasure" stuff. I think it is awesome that people look at broken stuff in their house and a light bulb goes off in their head and they think "MICHELLE would love this".

And it is true, we know I like a good challenge, so of course I took the frame. But before my husband could come home and shake his head at me for bringing home more "trash", I already upcycled it into this:

I originally saw this idea on Pinterest:

It is quirky and adorable all at the same time!

Click "Read More" to see how I did it!

First I threw out everything but the frame itself and then put it on a piece of paper so I could spray paint it:

Then I used a glossy white spray paint and went to town:

Once it was dry I found one of my favorite things every, Command Strips.

I really think that you don't need four, but I put that many on anyways to make myself feel better, it wasn't a light picture frame even though it was small.

Then I centered and pressed it on the wall, originally the flower/ bow stuff was supposed to be on the top but I put it to the left and think it looks good this way as well.

Now, I wonder what the secretary will say when I email the picture of what I did with it LOL!

This is a really great idea and so simple. I have never used the command tape without the hooks-this is a great idea, there is no turning back now. Lynda
