Hello all! How are you all doing on this find Tuesday?
I hope everything is great, if not, it might just get better because I am really excited about today's 10 new uses Tuesday post!!
In fact, I got so into it, I made quite a few projects! Can you guess? Here is a BIG hint!
Also, I have another little glimpse inside my head on how I come up with these posts.... here is a shot of my brainstorm for today's post:
See, I start out with one material and will start thinking of projects to go with that, but inevitably, one of the projects will remind me of another project which will give me another idea of a material to find 10 new uses for, and I don't want to forget it, so I write it down. Then, because ADHD is awesome (seriously, I think if I went on medication I wouldn't be half as creative as I am now, I totally take advantage of it), I start writing ideas for that and then the whole process starts over again. That is why while brainstorming for one week, I have four different topics on this paper, and, doilies weren't even the original idea! I just keep coming up with ideas until I have one with 10 and then I will start working. But the rest of the ideas stay stuck in my head so I make sure to keep the list close by so I can finish off the other future topics also.
But on to this week:
Here are 10 fabulous ideas for doilies (most will work for fabric doilies as well but I had paper on hand so that is what I focused on)!!
1. Print making and collage, or just a fun surface to draw on!
2. Paper mache type globes, cover a balloon in doilies and glue, let dry, pop balloon and remove and they are ready to hang!
3. Decoupage- like my vase project! Tutorial HERE.
Click "Read More" to see the rest of the uses!
4. Place cards, add a fun paper circle to the center and a smaller plain circle with the name and place it on each plate.
5. Cupcake liners; not on their own but a cheap and cherrful addition to a plain or foil liner.
6. Coasters; I always remember these placed on the smaller plates under coffee cups but you could watercolor them and laminate them for the same purpose but with and additional pop of color.
7. Snoflakes; my favorite window decor item for the winter- that with a can of the spray snow and I am set!
8. Embellishments for all sizes and shaped presents.
9. Snack cones- would be so cute for ANY party but especially a shower of some sort. You could put a number of different types of dry or packaged snacks.
10. Garland or banners; doesn't get easier than folding them in half and attaching them to a piece of twine or string before hanging.
What is your favorite use for doilies?

Love the cupcake liner and snack holder! My Nan has a cupboard full of paper doilies so I have a stash ready to go!
First...I love doilies and now I love you even more because of your paragraph about how you come up with ideas and if you went on medication....that is so me! See you on 10/8!
LOVE doilies and I am so so happy you did a 10 uses tuesday on them. I love the cupcake liner idea and attaching them to gift wrap. Ive made tons of banners using them and I even saw a tutorial using them as stencils on fabric (like tshirts and bags). LOVE LOVE LOVE doilies!
