Fine.
I admit it.
My name is Michelle and I like to save seemingly useless items.
This time, the hubbs challenged me to do something with a tub of napkin rings.
I know, you are either thinking " wow, I would love to go through your stash" or "wow, you have a lot of crap".
It's cool either way, I won't hate. Because at the end of the day, I turned my tub of napkin rings into this:
Click "Read More" to see how I did it!
First of all, I bought these napkin rings from the dollar store. They were in packs of 10 and covered in fabric, I ripped the fabric off and planned to make a bunch of decorated napkin rings for a craft fair... evidently I wasn't able to get around to it, so in a box they sat.
But it was good they did! I didn't really have a direction when I started, I just began gluing them together.
Then it got pretty big.
After I finished gluing them together, I knew the next step was spray paint. This time I chose white.
I painted one side.
Then flipped it over.
And painted the other side.
It was about this time, while it was drying, when I figured out what I wanted to do with it. First I thought chargers for the plates at my dinning room table, that would be AWESOME but I didn't have that many (that would be a little ridiculous, don't you think? lol- that just bleeds sarcasm). So then I thought it would look really great under a simple white bowl as the centerpiece of the table.
There, I like it.
I think it would be fun on a coffee table too.
What craft supplies do you hide from your hubbs in fear he might toss them?

That is very cute and creative. I don't purposely hide stuff from the hubs but have plenty of stuff packed away that would probably raise eyebrows.
You never cease to amaze me! Great job with the napkin rings, they turned out super cute! Your husband sounds a little like mine, giving me a hard time about all the little craft things I do. :)
again i say...you guys are so cute :) LOVE the new header!!! LOVE! And I love your dinner table set up :) So sweet and handmade.
That is very cool! I think you're doing a great job with these challenges!
That's a great idea! I need to do something like this with my husband. It turned out great, and has a retro feel to it:)
How fun. I have a ton, well, hundreds of tape cores and I need to make a project or two by next spring. I'm bookmarking this as a possibility.
