10 New Uses Tuesday {Plastic Cups}

I am not too into disposable dishes and utensils, mostly because I entertain so much it is just cheaper to find a deal on plates, glasses and utensils during the holidays and reuse them over and over. And I am always glad to not have excess trash in the bin and waste.

But, I have still inherited cups left over from parties and, the funniest part, these cups in these pictures are from my wedding! We had an outdoor wedding and it took some convincing but I agreed to plastic cups, BUT I ordered special biodegradable cups, and I still have a bunch left over.

You would think it was that, or maybe Avery's new obsession in stacking and unstacking plastic cups that inspired this post. But it is not. I saw a gorgeous sun catcher on Pinterest and I am focused on it, it is number 10 so you will have to get through the other ones to see it ;).

1. Printmaking with paint!

2. Cup stacking- seriously a cheap game that will occupy your young child for a good amount of time.

3. Vessel for giving treats as gifts, fill up the cup then wrap the whole thing and tie with a ribbon.

 Click "Read More" to see the rest of the ideas!

4. Plastic cup flowers art project.

(mine aren't done but I got a picture of them stacked at least so you could get the idea)

5. Weaving- cut the sides of the cup into strips and the children can use yarn to weave back and forth and back an forth.

6. Popsicle form- I tried to get and actual popsicle making tray and handles and couldn't find it, now I am glad I didn't spend the money! A cup and a popsicle stick and you are done!

7. Plastic Cup bracelets- make them the same way you do the plastic bottle bracelets

8. Awesome dino dig form for your ice fossils! This idea can be found HERE and was linked up to my Made by Little Hands party!

9. Planters/ green house- decorate it, add a hole in the bottom and you are ready to plant! Put another cup on top and you have a green house!

10. And last but certainly NOT least, the picture that inspired this whole list!!! I HAVE TO MAKE ONE OF THESE MELTED CUP SUN CATCHERS!!! Like seriously, I am going to try it tomorrow.

I can't get over this, go check out the tutorial- AMAZING!!!!
