Are you having a great 4th of July Weekend? I hope so!!
Second up in our fabulous weekend of interviews is Amy from Dearie Designs!! This is a new blog I have come across and it is a good one. You should definitely go support her blog and follow along!
Really...go! It is the nice thing to do :).
1. In a couple of sentences, tell us about yourself.
My name is Amy Dearie. I am married to my best friend {and I don't say that lightly}, John. We have two adorable stinkers, Jesse {3.75} and Abigale {18 months} and we hope to add to that number soon. I am a work-at-home mom as a demonstrator for almost 10 years with Stampin' UP and Artist/Creator/Owner of Dearie Designs, where every gift is created with paper, stamps, & ink. So I sell the supplies for people who like to do it themselves or I can create it for you!
2. How did you get into blogging?
I wanted to be a source of inspiration and help to my customers for Stampin' Up and hopefully {honestly} drive more business back to myself, whether in SU or etsy orders. I am all about honesty. :) I actually have a "life" blog {the Dearies' Not-So-Dailies} and this creative blog, as well as being on Facebook.
3. What is your blog about in a nutshell?
Dearie Designs is about the fantastic things you can create with Paper, Stamps, and Ink.
4. What are your favorite materials/ ingredients/ tools to work with?
I am always on a mission to find the best adhesive to adhere my projects made with paper, stamps, & ink and make them last.
5. Where do you find your inspiration?
As a demonstrator, Stampin' Up supplies us with many demo-only magazines, sites, links, etc, which really help. My upline is amazing at sharing projects that are beautiful, creative and easy! In addition, I love to browse other blogs and the linky parties are great sources for the latest creations of others!
6. What are a couple of your favorite blogs?
There are so many but Someday Crafts, Creative Princess, and {if you don't know, you should} Jones Design Company. This doesn't count the personal life blogs that I follow, especially of my friends.
7. What are a couple of your favorite projects?
These Bloomin Flower Sucker Party Favors are a latest creation that I am now also selling on etsy. I loved how they turned out and so did the mom who ordered them.
I created 2 coordinating t-shirts with this blooming designs for twins' 1st birthday. The mom loved them and so did my mom & I, since we collaborated on them!
I created this Butterfly Mobile for my daughter's room and I love how it turned out. Planning to make one for my son with a train and primary colors theme someday...
Thanks for having me as a guest!
