I am always looking for new accessories to adorn my child's head. She used to wear elastic headbands so well, then something changed and now she always pulls them off. I am having a lot of fun with little pony tails, pig tails and smaller clips but the other day she seemed interested in regular headbands so I thought I would make her something.
Here is what I came up with!
Doesn't it look great with her little mermaid night gown?! LOL

Materials:
Rosettes- mine are small, like an inch
Felt
Faux pearls
Tulle
Headband
Hot glue gun
Here are my rosettes, I have two turquoise and two yellow.
I also took two pieces of tulle, cut them to a few inches and put a knot at the end so they would be easier to glue down.
I just used a regular headband, I grabbed a bunch from the dollar store to play around before I invest in better ones.
I started at the corner of my felt and glue down the pieces of tulle next to each other. Then I glued down one of the rosettes to the right of it.
Then I added the two yellow underneath, this way the tulle is coming out between the turquoise and the yellow.
Then, I added the last turquoise underneath it, trimmed it up and then glued on the faux pearls in a cluster of three.
To attach it to the head band I glued it on the top first.
Then I glued another strip of felt down on the inside to secure it a little more.
Then I put it on the baby and told her to say "cheese"...this is what I got in return lol.
Reading a book. This picture makes me think I should trim the tulle a bit, but that is easy, do to your liking.
Then she figured out how to take it off and was trying to put it back on.
You never know, this could be the "in" way to wear them in a few years and I have the proof that she started the trend. Just sayin'. ;)
Got it back on and back to playing.
Thanks for stopping by!
