Hey all!! Thank you for joining me for another guest blogger Sunday!! I am so excited to have Lauren from Warm & Fuzzy here today!!!
I am going to be sharing a BIG announcement here in the next week revolving around "Back to School" and I am so glad she was able to come up with a great craft to share with us!! This is an awesome idea!!

Take it away Lauren!!

I am so excited to be guest posting today here at delicateCONSTRUCTION! I follow Michelle's blog, and share her love of projects for {LTP's or "little tiny people"}. We are both teachers which is why we seem to share the same interest.

When she asked me to post a tutorial that had to do with "back to school" I was trying to come up with some thing original, but everything has been done a million times over. I wanted to make something that I would use. My Eli, will be starting the 4 year old program this school year and will have "homework" for the first time. I thought a "Homework Box" would be a  great way to have all of his materials needed for crafts/homework to keep in one spot. So here is how I did it.

I started with an empty wipes container, some ModPodge, and some fun scrapbook paper.
 I am currently obsessed with this Martha Stewart pack of paper.
{my last three project have used paper from this pack}

Chose a piece of paper I liked and cut it to size (twice, one for the back size too)

Mod Podge on the container and the paper itself. Let it dry. Make sure you get the edges really well!

You can see the paper I chose for the side, the paper on the front, looks wonky in the picture, but it is double sided- and has polka dots on the backside, it is flat on the container. I promise :)

I chose to cover the top of the container with one solid piece, just because, with a coordinating color, I haven't decided if I will leave it as is, or add to it, but right now it is plain.
 {see what I mean about those polka dots showing through, it gives it some dimension that I like though}

I broke out my glitter stickers and added his name and the words.

Decided it was to plain so I added some borders & buttons, yes the Mod Podge was still drying ;)

Here it is filled with my school supplies, once we go shopping I will fill it with Eli's goodies!

This was a really simple project that the kids will love and will make homework time easier. No more time spent looking all over the house for pencils, crayons, markers, scissors, and glue. It's all right here is your Homework Box!!

Thanks so much!! Make sure you go over and visit Lauren!!!
