~.~.~.~.~

Hi lovely Delicate Construction readers, I'm Kara from Happy Go Lucky and I'm so excited to be here today! I love finding new blogs that I immediately spend hours reading every post, and that is exactly what happened when I found delicateConstruction.

1.  In a couple of sentences, tell us about yourself.

I love being creative and crafty!  I have an amazing husband.  He supports and assists me with the many projects I seem to be doing all the time.  My energetic two year old keeps us laughing and very busy. Thank goodness they both love going to Michaels and Home Depot with me almost every weekend.  I'm also a 6th grade reading teacher.  I'm so lucky that I get to be creative at home and at school with my students.  I love the beach, thrift store shopping, scrapbooking, and taking pictures.  Most importantly, I love spending time with family and friends.

2.  How did you get into blogging?

I started blogging because I was so inspired by all the fabulous ideas I came across online.  I wanted a place to share my DIY projects, crafts, and activities I created and completed with my family.

3.  What is your blog about in a nutshell?

My blog is about easy and inexpensive DIY projects, crafts, and activities the entire family can enjoy.  I really try to keep all the projects I complete and share under $20.  I also love creating and sharing fun printable games that help young children learn.

4.  What are your favorite materials/ingredients/tools to work with?

I have a lot of materials I like to work with.  I love making jewelry so I use beads and chains.  I also use scrapbook papers and wood for a lot of my projects.  I don't know what I would do without my drill, glue gun and decoupage!

5.  Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration everywhere!  My biggest problem is that I see something at a store and I immediately want to make it myself.  Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed because I get too many ideas at one time going in my head.

6.  What are a couple of your favorite blogs?

I have so many favorite blogs, it's hard to pick my favorites.  I have so much respect for the blogs that have been blogging for a long time and still take the time to help out the people who have just started blogging.  It's so wonderful to have this great community of bloggers that support one another.  I think some people forget what it was like to be a new blogger just starting out.

7.  What are a couple of your favorite projects?

I've created a few games and printables inspired by my son.

Scavenger Hunt to help with following directions

I love making jewelry and I recently made a super easy Dangling Discs necklace inspired by one I saw at Ann Taylor Loft.

I also recently made book ledges that were very easy to make.  I promise you can make them too!

If you get a chance, I would love for you to come visit me.  I love making new friends, reading new blogs and being inspired!
Thank you Michelle for having me today.  I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend.

LOVE LOVE LOVE those book ledges!!! I will have to cover a wall in each kids' room with those!! Then necklaces and games are so cute too!

Thanks so much Kara! I really appreciate it you stopping by today and sharing a little more about your blog!!!
