Over the weekend I finally grabbed some time to work on a few 4th of July crafts, and while it is pushing it pretty close, it is still June so I think I am doing pretty good!
I made a banner and embellished a few candles.... what do you think?
There is still more to add but it is a good start!

First I made the candles, this was really easy. All I did was take ribbon and wrap it around and hot glue it to itself. I was careful to only to add hot glue on the ribbon so I could remove it and use it for something else later.
Then, for the banner I gathered all the red and blue ribbon I could find, one mesh white and one silver.
I cut a bunch of pieces off all of the colors of ribbon except the silver.
I laid out the silver, this is going to be the base of the banner.
Next comes the fun part, I folded them over the silver ribbon and glued them on; I did create a pattern that was red, white, blue and then I created a pattern within the red ribbons and blue ribbons.

And the best part?
