We had another party tonight...because that is what I do, I throw the parties (cool with me, I like the creative outlet)...and while it was a lot of fun, this one was a goodbye party.
Lame. Still fun, but the end was hard.
Let me tell you something about me, if there are a bunch of people around and I get all teary or stressed and uncomfortable, I clean. I have to be busy. So needless to say, all dishes are done, tables and chairs put away and party is cleaned up.
You would never know any extra people were here.
BUT, my blog is my happy place so on to the fun stuff.
Here was the candy themed table, I threw this party only spending $15 dollars on extra supplies, and I was very happy with the way it came out:
So here is how it went, first I picked up the candy and got some of the plastic champagne and water glasses all from the dollar store. They went down the table and were filled up with goodies, this table was three tables long and set for 18 people.
Yes, on a Wednesday night.

{Seriously, it is good}
Then I added some sequins, curled ribbon and pixie sticks around them.
Next, the standard plates, glasses, napkins and forks (for the salad) and the 'chargers' which were just construction paper. Simple, fun and great for kids!
On to the pizza bar, this was great, it is a little extra kitchen time for the host, but I like that kind of the thing. I made pizza crusts (post to come) and then provided all the toppings in separate bowls. This way everyone could just get a plate, make their pizza the way they wanted and {here is the best part} then take the clothespin with their name on it and clip it onto the crust!
Why you ask?
Because next it gets put on a sheet tray, clothespin and all, and put in the oven to cook. Then when it comes out you don't have to worry about who's is who's because it is labeled right there!
Genius, I know. Wish I could claim it but I can't, got the idea from a wonderful man I used to work with when I was a server for catered events. He used numbers and the kids got a sticker with a matching number and we made their pizzas and matched them back up when we were done.
Fun right?!
What is your favorite party tip?!

I completely love this idea- a candy themed party is so fun. You really get lots of colors and fun decorations for not a lot of money. Great idea! I also love the tip about the clothespin for the pizzas- you're right... GENIUS!
