We were so excited to go see our nephew today and give him his birthday present! And as you know, you can't have a birthday present without cake!!! So we made some cupcakes and I wanted an easy way to decorate them in a limited amount of time.
Which brings us to today's post...
Here is what you need:
- 24 (or twice the picks you need) 1 1/2 inch circles
- 12 balloons (or whatever embellishment you want)
- 12 "3's"
- 12 toothpicks
- Hot glue gun
First I cut out all my pieces,
Then laid 12 of the 1 1/2 inch circles.
Hot glued the balloons on,
and then the "3's".
Next I hot glued the toothpick on the back,
and then the other circle behind it.
Next frost your cupcakes- I colored the frosting to match my picks.
Add your picks and enjoy!!!

This is so clever! My son's birthday is this weekend, and I might have to use this!
I've always admired those who have cute picks in their cupcakes but thought it would be too difficult! Can't wait to use this for my daughter's birthday next year! Thanks for sharing.
Adorable!
But I never cover the back of my cupcake toppers. I'm lazy! LOL
Those are really cute! And so easy to make! Thanks for the tutorial. :)
I want to let you know that I am giving you an award tomorrow (Sat) on my blog. So come visit tomorrow and take a look. :)
