Headband Holder

I came by this idea last week and I thought it was the most original and random thing I had ever come up with, using a roll of paper towels to hold Avery's numerous headbands that have already started accumulating. So you can imagine my shock when I saw Lynette over at Get Your Craft On (great site by the way) does the same thing, check out this post. I was even more surprised when she said she was going to cover some with fabric which is what I did to these over the weekend. You should have seen Wade's face when I told him about this And this is only of one flower, but I figure these would be generic enough to go with A BUNCH of outfits, then of course there will be outfit specific bows attached to headbands as well. I will give you a great headband tip tomorrow that I used to make the colored ones!

Here is what you need:

Roll of paper towels
Fabric
Hot glue gun



For this project I wanted to use this remnant fabric I found at Joann's and when I rolled it out I found that it was a long and skinny piece so I cut it into 3 pieces and ended up attaching them to make one larger rectangle with my glue gun.


Then I turned it over and put the roll of paper towels in the center.


Next I glued one side.


Then I rolled it over until I got almost to the end...


folded over the edge so it was smooth...


and glued it in place.


Then wrapped the edges somewhat like how I wrap presents, first I flattened one side.


Then the next one to the left (counterclockwise).


And the next one.


And the last one.

Then add all your headbands! I can already tell that I am going to need a few of these, but for $.79 I can afford it!
