Gift Card Tin Mini Scrapbook

These are so much fun, and super cheap to make because I found a bunch of cute tins at Michaels for a dollar and you can use up all your scrapbook scraps to decorate the inside. Here are all the tins I have picked up over the last few months:

I picked the pink one with white polka dots to make this one that I will soon fill with baby pics (once she decides to finally arrive!).

First you cut 2 pieces of card stock to fit you gift card tin, for mine I cut them 4 1/2" by 10".

Then I marked each piece of paper every 2 1/2 " inches (that was the width that would fit in my tin).

Next, accordion fold the two papers on the marks.

Then overlap the last flap on one with the first flap of the second to make one long piece, then glue them together.

Next I decorated the little mini papges- you are obviously encouraged to do whatever you like but I thought I would explain how I put together my pages as well. I started with little scalloped rectangles (is that what they are called) cut with my Cricut at 2 1/2" and then glued on every other page, starting from the left. These will be the matte where the picture will go.

Then I cut a pink patterned paper to 2 1/4" x 4 1/4" and a piece of vellum to 2" x 4" and centered the vellum on the pink patterned paper.

I used my crop-a-dile (or a 1/8" hole punch) to punch two holes where the brads will go.

Add the brads and then glue on the opposite pages of the brown (there will be one blank page on the right and that will be used to glue the accordion into the tin later). These are the journaling area.

Next I cut two pieces of pink ribbon, glued the smaller one on the longer and added them and added them under or over the brown rectangle shape.

The last little decoration was 3 rhinestones (one big in the middle and two smaller ones on either side) in the center of the ribbon.

Now to hot glue the accordion into the tin- the bottom of the tin will go on the left and the top of the tin will go on the right. Fold it all up and glue the left flap into the bottom and the right flap into the top.

Lastly I put a bow around the outside, honestly I tied it around the closed tin and got it where I wanted it and then glued the back of the ribbon to the back of the tin and viola! Done!

I am also going to finally link up to a bunch of McLinky parties this week- woohoo!
