These were the party favor for my baby shower and I had been wanting a chance to try this idea for a while now. I always see these online but it is one of those "I can make that myself!" moments and usually for a lot less money =). These were rather simple but I really liked their look and they worked with my pink and brown theme. I made them with the Hershey's chocolate bars that we bought in bulk at Costco (though not vegan, a crowd pleaser and I wasn't making them for me anyways) and got 36 for under 18$ which was the perfect amount for my needs. Then I got paper at Joanns on sale for 4/1$ and for 36 bars I needed 12 sheets of the pink paper (4 bars per piece so 3$ for pink paper) and 2 sheets of the brown (.50$). Then I lucked out and had scrap white paper, spray adhesive, hot glue and an extra sheet and a half of labels lying around my house, also I used the New Arrival Cricut cartridge from my invites for the image. You can make them to match any theme and you could use stamps, stickers, rub ons or anything else to embellish the candy bar wrapper but for how much my Cricut costs, my husband always encourages me to use that lol. Now on to the directions:
First I got my Cricut going cutting the little preggo lady image in a circular tag (one of the options on cartridge) at 2", that gave me 25 per page. I made 35 and then separated them from the scrap paper, they curl slightly when you take them off the adhesive mat for the machine.
Next I sprayed the back with spray adhesive and put them on white cardstock, I wore gloves for this because hands get rather stick when using the spray adhesive.
After I glued them all on the paper, I cut them out. Then I cut my pink paper to 5" x 5" squares (I pre-measured with scrap paper and found that was the size that would cover my bar completely) and used hot glue to attach the image to the center of the pink paper, I put a small amount of hot glue on the top and bottom of the image and it held nicely.

Then I turned them over and placed the candy bar in the middle.

Next fold up both sides and either glue, tape, or in my case add the personalized label to secure it closed. I had the extra sheet so I chose to not have text on the front and add the label on the back because I liked the simple look of the image in the middle on the front of the bar.
And there you have it, cheaper and cheerful party favors. I am going to have too much fun playing with this idea for all kinds of themes and will of course share what I come up with!
